Can you fight for the planet with meat? Now you can!
The texture and taste of meat. The climate impact of plants. And the nutrition of beef. It sounds too good to be true, but it's not. The world's first sustainable meat has landed. And you can try it for yourself.
It's now available at the renowned Copenhagen-based restaurant, Sanchez, where you can try former Noma-chef Rosio Sanchez' delicious food.
What is it?
The minced meat is made out of powdered buffalo beetles and pea protein. It’s been 3 years in the making, and soon you can taste meaty dishes with one of the most planet-friendly proteins in the world. Hey Planet Meat can be used the exact same way as minced beef or pork.
No guilty climate-conscience
And you don’t have to feel bad for the planet when you dig into a juicy burger. You save 31,64 kg CO2 for every kilo of beef you replace with Hey Planet meat. The buffalo beetles are farmed vertically and fed with food waste, making them one of the most sustainable protein sources in the world.
The meat contains high levels of protein, iron, vitamin B12 and fibre. Nutritionally it has the same benefits of eating beef.
