Peanut Butter Cups with a Hey Planet Bar

Hey Planet Peanut Butter Cups
A fun and delicious recipe that is perfect for making with kids!

The little peanut butter cups combine the sweet/bitter taste of chocolate with the creamy and nutty flavour of peanut butter. It creates a perfect and satisfies both the sweet and salty cravings.

The recipe is simple and allows for experimenting with some of the ingredients at home. Here we present our version of peanut butter cups with some extra nutrients!

 Serves 12

Ingredients:

Muffin liners
200 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
100 g creamy peanut butter
1 tsp coconut oil
25 g almonds
1 Hey Planet Salty Peanut Bar

 

Method:

Place the almonds in a food processor and blend until you have almond flour
 
Once the almonds are ground into flour, add the remaining peanut butter (only 70g) and Hey Planet Salted Peanuts protein bar to the food processor. Blend until you have a smooth mixture. Add a little bit of water if the mixture is too dry
 
When the mixture is ready, shape it into small balls and then flatten them. Set them aside, preferably in the refrigerator to chill
 
In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate, coconut oil, and peanut butter (only 30g)
 
Fill the bottom of each muffin liner with the melted chocolate filling. Add the peanut butter filling to the muffin liners
 
Finally, top with more melted chocolate to fully cover the peanut butter filling. You can sprinkle with nuts, salt or another favorite on the top of the chocolate
 
Place in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving
