Nutritious Salty Peanut Protein Brownie


Our natural protein bars are a wonderful snack on their own - and you can easily grab a few of them as a healthy afternoon snack or a post workout meal.

But our Salty Peanut bars are actually also pretty good if you add them to this extravagant (but quite easy-to-make) peanut brownie. This way you can satisfy those cake cravings in a nutritious (and pretty healthy) manner, and get your protein, B12 and iron boost while at the same time pampering your taste bud with that beloved brownie feel.


Nutritious Salty Peanut Protein Brownie

6-8 brownie squares


120 g flour
30 g salty peanuts, blended to flour-like consistency
130 g sugar
40 g cocoa powder
0,5 tsp baking powder
0,5 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla sugar
3 peeled apples
1 dl water
0,5 dl cooled coffee
0,5 dl sunflower or rapeseed oil
60 g chopped 70% chocolate

Cut the apples in small pieces and put them in a pan with the water. Bring to a boil and let simmer, until the apples are tender. Blend it to a smooth applesauce. Cool.

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add 100 g of the applesauce, coffee and oil, and mix well - but don’t stir too much. Fold in the chocolate and bar pieces.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.

Line a 20 cm x 15 cm baking pan with greased parchment paper. Pour the batter in and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Let the brownie cool in the pan (in the fridge) and slice it into squares.
