New Year’s Snack: Tiny Pies with Hey Planet Meat

Hey Planet's New Year Canapé

Approximately 20 small pies


200 g Hey Planet Mince
A bit of cooking oil
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 carrot, finely diced
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp thyme
0,5 tsp rosemary
1 tbsp tomato puree
40 g frozen peas
2 sheets of puff pastry
1 egg, lightly whipped
Chili mayonnaise


  1. Sauté the onion and garlic until transparent.
  2. Add carrot, meat and spices and stir for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the tomato puree and sauté for 3 more minutes.
  4. Let the mixture cool.
  5. Cut 20 circles from the puff pastry with a cutter that measures around 6 cm.
  6. Cut another 20 circles from the remaining dough with a slightly bigger cutter - around 6,5 cm.
  7. Place the smaller circles on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and wash with egg.
  8. Put a teaspoon of the meat mixture on each piece of pastry.
  9. Cover the pies with the bigger pastry circles and close them using a fork.
  10. Wash with eggs. Bake for 10-20 minutes at 200 degrees celsius or until golden.
  11. Serve with chili mayonnaise and an aperitif.
