2 types of hummus with protein rich crispbread

Mmmh, hummus. The classic entré and snack. 

Hummus is a traditional Middle Eastern dip and spread. Normally made with chickpeas, tahini, olive oil and garlic. All blended together to the perfect spread for your Hey Planet Crispbread. We're giving you our favorite kinds - one with beets and one with sundried tomatoes. 

 

Hummus with beets

Ingredients

200 g beets

1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained

1 tbsp tahini

10 g horseradish, finely grated

Juice from 1/2 lemon

2 cloves garlic

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp cumin

black pepper

Method

Clean beets and cook with the peel for 30 minutes.

Cover in cold water and rub off peel when cooled. Cut into smaller pieces.

Blend beets, chickpeas, tahini, lemonjuice, garlic, cumin and horseradish into a creamy hummus. 

Add lemon, salt, pepper and olive to taste. 

 

Hummus with sundried tomatoes

Ingredients

1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained

1 har sundried tomatoes

4 tsp cumin

2 tbsp olive oil

0.2 cups water

1 clove garlic

1 tsp salt

Juice from 1/2 lemon

Method

Blend all the ingredients and add lemon and salt to taste.
